Although KTM have a wide range of off road machines and a presence in the MotoGP paddock in the 125 and 250cc classes, the 1190 is the most elaborate development project the company have undertaken and also the most powerful that they have produced.

This is a crucial step towards having a complete range of unmistakable sports machines across all disciplines. The 1190 RC8 is powered by the newly developed super sporty two-cylinder based on the proven LC8 range of engines. Performance wise it tops out at 155 hp and a maximum amount of torque of 120 Nm, delivering an impressive amount of power to the rider.

"The RC8 is the perfect embodiment of the collective know-how and the sporting passion of our development teams,” said KTM's CEO Stefan Pierer. “In addition, they have proven that KTM is capable of pushing through its own model strategy and in doing so, being absolutely true to our clear brand philosophy, also on the road."
