DFX announces all-Australian 2008 line-up.

Fellow Australian Steve Martin may have endured a torrid time with DFX Honda last season, but that hasn't stopped countrymen Karl Muggeridge and Russell Holland joining the outfit for 2008.

Martin left the squad mid-season after it struck financial problems, with his seat alongside Michel Fabrizio given to pay rider Luca Morelli, while Muggeridge's season was Alto Evolution Honda was almost as dramatic.

The former World Supersport champion and team-mate Josh Brookes were forced to miss the Misano round following the 'hijacking' of the team's truck and, while Brookes subsequently switched to Supersport, Muggeridge battled on to end the year 16th in the standings.

The former Ten Kate rider, who will start his fourth WSBK season in 2008, will now hope to use his considerable CBR1000RR experience - and some team stability - to finally snare a premier-class podium.

"The offer from Team DFX pleased me enormously and it didn't take long to reach an agreement," said Karl. "I'll be staying with Honda so I'll be able to use my years of experience when setting up the new CBR1000RR. I've seen at close quarters the work done by Daniele Carli's team last season and I'm optimistic for the future. It's a new start for me and I hope to repay everyone who has had confidence in me with a great season at the highest level."

Meanwhile, Australian Superbike star Holland will make his world debut alongside Muggeridge next year. Holland finished a head-turning second as a privateer in the 2006 Australian series, but saw his 2007 hopes hampered by pre-season surgery.
