The satellite Ducati team decided to remain down under to try and build on its impressive 1098 debut, which saw Xaus finish the official test joint third - and just 0.2secs from the top - while Ducati rookie Biaggi was just half a second further back.
"Carrying on the work here in Australia is really good for the team," declared team manager Marco Borciani. "Ruben and Max are working really well. They are focused on the best set-up which seems to be close. The pace is really fast and we are using '07 tyres.
"We are getting back a lot of useful information which will be helpful for the start of the season, especially for the second round which will take place on this track. I'm really satisfied with the whole team, especially the integration of the new members," added Borciani.
No lap times have been officially released, although Biaggi is believed to have set a best time of 1min 31.7secs on day two - inside the best lap time at the official test.
Alstare Suzuki also stayed in Australia for extra tests this week.
