Tuesday, 12th February 2008

Having failed to complete a lap during Sunday's opening day of World Superbike testing at Qatar, the PSG-1 Kawasaki team began to make up for lost time on day two.

Some of the team's equipment was damaged during delivery, preventing both Regis Laconi and Makoto Tamada from setting a Sunday time, but both were left feeling much more positive after finally getting out on track during day two.

"We are on the right way. We had a very positive day. The team worked greatly on telemetry and engine and finally we left the chattering problem behind us," said Laconi. "[On Tuesday] we will focus on corner entrance."

"We solved the telemetry difficulties, the team worked very hard and reduced a lot the chattering that annoyed me yesterday," confirmed Tamada, preparing for his first full WSBK season in 2008. "Tomorrow we will focus on frame-geometry."
