"The beginning of the second race was okay,” said the Turk, “If I am relaxed on the bike, I can fight with guys up front but, in the second part of the race, I'm just losing physical power and control. I don't know how to control the power of the bike yet, but I'm improving day-by-day."

Team manager Ronald Ten Kate was pleased with the improved speed of the new CBR1000, but is looking forward now to having some more time to work his magic on the new bike for future rounds.

“Kiyonari's result in the second race was outstanding and Carlos' podium shows, even in the early stage of development, the Fireblade is competitive, which brings a lot of confidence to the team. I am looking forward to be racing back in Europe again,” he said.
