WSBK rookie Carlos Checa proved at Valencia that, if he has even the slightest chance of victory, he'll take it.

Reigning World Supersport champion Kenan Sofuoglu suffered something of a demoralising Assen weekend on the third Ten Kate Fireblade, but hopes the flowing nature of the famous Dutch circuit will play to his strengths.

"I have been waiting for the race in Assen," he revealed. "After completing three difficult first races in the Superbike competition I now want to put my experience into practice on one of my favourite circuits. It could be the chance for me to jump into the top 10. It's strange for me to be saying that after finishing every race into the top three last season. It's a steep learning curve I'm going through."
