Just over one month after being cruelly robbed of a debut victory on the last turn at Valencia, a 'proud' Max Neukirchner stood on the top step of the World Superbike podium for the first time at Monza on Sunday.

Neukirchner is now fourth in the world championship standings, just one point from Haga and five behind Valencia villain Checa.
