Max Biaggi claims the Nurburgring marshals will need to improve quickly for this weekend's World Superbike round in Germany after suffering problems in first qualifying.

The Italian was ‘disappointed' that he was not helped back to the pit lane after suffering some problems at the first bend, Biaggi adding that he lost time in the process.

Nonetheless, the Sterilgarda Ducati rider was satisfied with his day's work on the way to securing tenth position on the provisional grid.

“Today we have ridden under hard conditions, this morning on the wet and during the afternoon on the dry. Anyway we did a good work on the bike although we still have to improve the bike balance.

“Furthermore the track is full of bumps caused by the F1, especially entering the bends. Therefore we are going to work on the springs of the suspensions in order to find a setting which ‘follows' the bumps.

“This morning I have been quite disappointed by the behaviour of the track staff. I had a hitch at the first bend and nobody came to help me to reach the pits. So I had to help myself in order to be back on the bike quickly".
