Roberto Rolfo is hoping he can rediscover some of the form that helped him to a top five finish in last year's World Superbike round at Misano, the Italian currently desperate for a change in fortunes.
After a season peppered with injury, Rolfo returned to action at the Nurburgring eager to challenge for Superpole and a place inside the top ten. Instead, he qualified 25th and finished outside the points in both races.
Nonetheless, Rolfo has fond memories of Misano after finishing fifth on the Ten Kate Honda last season, something he would like to get at least close to this weekend, not least because this round acts as his home race having been forced to skip Monza.
”I like the Misano track and I like racing in hot conditions especially after the last cold races in Nurburgring . I'm ready for my first Italian races of the year and I'm excited to race in front of my fans due to the fact that I lost out on Monza races for an injury.
“I'm really motivated and my physical condition is very good, I did some extensive training to be ready for this San Marino round, where I hope to reach good results”.
