Broc Parkes maintained his position at the top of the timesheets in final qualifying for the latest round of the World Supersport Championship in San Marino.

The Yamaha rider was on fine form around the Misano circuit as he lapped in a time of 1min 39.398secs, placing him a good half second up on nearest rival Andrew Pitt.

With the Hannspree Ten Kate Honda in second and Fabien Foret leaving it late to jump back up into third place on the second Yamaha, the top three from final qualifying mirrored that of the provisional session.

Craig Jones flew the flag for Great Britain in fourth place, ahead of Joshua Brookes and Jonathan Rea, the latter helping Ten Kate experience a silver lining in what has been an otherwise tough day for them.

Elsewhere, Russell Holland showed a seamless transition from Superbike to Supersport in seventh, ahead of the leading Triumph rider, Mark Aitchison. Barry Veneman and Joan Lascorz rounded out the top ten of a 38-strong field.
