Superpole, a top ten finish and a bit of fun - Simon Andrews sets himself some targets for his World Superbike wild-card entry at Brands Hatch.

Simon Andrews insists he is going to ‘have fun' as he pits himself against the best at next month's World Superbike Championship round at Brands Hatch.

Andrews is one of three riders that have been granted the chance of a wild-card entry into the British round of the series, alongside Tom Sykes and Eugene Laverty.

While Andrews admits that the competition is going to be tough, not least because his Lloyds British Jentin team will have to make the necessary modifications to his Yamaha, he is treating the weekend as a special outing for him and the team..

Even so, Andrews has set himself some targets; to get into Superpole and finish inside the top ten.

“This is a great opportunity for me to test my skills against some of the best riders in the World today,” he said. The rules are slightly different for engine specification and the team have already started the development to meet the challenge. My target is to make super pole, have fun and push for a finish in the top ten.”
