Well, that is it from me at
Donington Park.
The racing has been tremendous as always and we have two very richly deserving winners in the shape of Bayliss and Kiyonari, while Brookes in the Supersports also warrants a mention.
We must not forget the wild-card riders though, who all starred this weekend and showed just how strong the British Championship is at the moment…
So who is rider of the day? Frankly, it is too difficult to decide, so I'll break it down into sub-awards…
Most spectacular rider: Ryuichi Kiyonari, who was often backwards in coming forwards.
Unluckiest rider: Ruben Xaus, who was denied a podium whilst standing on it…
Most consistent rider: Max Biaggi for being pretty much the only rider to stay upright all weekend
The NHS award for most erratic rider: Troy Corser, who spent too much time on the track, rather than on his bike
Surprise of the day: Roberto Rolfo's podium challenge from nowhere in the first race (before he wiped himself and Haslam out)
Naughty boy of the day: Noriyuki Haga for trailing the remains of his Yamaha engine around the track and causing three accidents before then getting disqualified in the second race for not completing his penalty.
Unsung hero: Gregorio Lavilla, who soldiered on for two great results on the Vent-Axia Honda and just missed the podium. Also, James Ellison for scoring the fastest lap in race two.
British rider of the day: It is a tough one, but we'll go for Sykes because he could have won the first race and that Rizla Suzuki is more BSB than WSBK.
