In that time, the Supersports have been and gone, with Joshua Brookes claiming a stunning win from Andrew Pitt. Although the excitement was more from close competition than crashing this time, Brookes overtook Pitt with two laps remaining after some mouth-watering riding techniques.

Drama, drama in World Superbikes!
Troy Bayliss wins from Tom Sykes after a marvellous ride to overhaul the Suzuki rider's four second aggregate lead.
However, confusion over third remains with Max Biaggi standing on the podium, despite finishing behind
Ruben Xaus. It seems Xaus, who fell as the rain began falling, was the reason for the red flag, not the weather.

Noriyuki Haga has caused race one to be stopped after his Yamaha engine let go and it proceeded to drip oil around almost a full lap of the circuit.
Now, Coppice is difficult at the best of times and it seems that oil was enough for
Troy Corser,
Makoto Tamada and
Carlos Checa to lose control and crash.
They aren't the only ones though; Kiyonari came off on lap two whilst leading, while Neukirchner, Laconi, Lynn, Crutchlow, Walker, Gimbert, Sofuoglu and Morelli are already out too.
Race one, part two, starts soon with Tom Sykes in the lead!

The summer was full of rumours regarding Troy Corser and his switch to
BMW, but Haga's defection may have given Yamaha the funds necessary to retain at least one of their hugely experienced riders.
