Elsewhere, Biaggi's snub by Xerox could see him seek pastures new at Aprilia, a team he has experienced considerable success with over his long career.
What about Shane Byrne? It is no secret he wants to remain with Airwaves, but that doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a Ducati. If the GSE team graduate in 2009, perhaps a change of bikes could be in order.
Of course, speculation is just that

With all the excitement of the races this weekend, lest we not forget the memory of Craig Jones, who sadly lost his life in a tragic accident at
Brands Hatch last month.
With this being the first event since his death, fellow Supersport rider and close friend Tommy Hill will step up to place Jones' Team Parkalgar Honda CBR600RR on the grid before riding a lap of honour for the Donington Park crowd.
A moving tribute, I'm sure you'll all agree.

The Superstocks have given us an idea of what we might see in Supersport and Superbikes later on after an eventful race full of thrills and, mostly, spills.
Only 26 riders finished, compared to 15 that retired in just 12 laps, as many struggled to find grip on the slippery surface. It seems riding a quick lap in the wet is one thing, but doing it whilst surrounded by around 39 other riders, is another.
Incidentally, Xavier Simeon won after snatching the lead of Alessandro Polita midway through the race. Davide Giugliano rounded off the podium.

Although his week has gone from bad to worse, Eugene Laverty admits he is very tempted to switch to the World Supersport Championship next year if he cannot get a top 250GP ride.
Starting 21st on the grid after crashing in qualifying, Laverty has destroyed four helmets between Misano and
Donington, but is nonetheless impressed with what he has seen in the Supersport paddock this weekend.
