Roberto Rolfo is eyeing a good result on home ground after an encouraging performance at Donington Park.

Roberto Rolfo is determined to put his promising, but ultimately disappointing, weekend at Donington Park behind him with a good performance on home ground at Vallelunga for the latest round of the World Superbike Championship.

Rolfo starred at Donington Park, recovering from a lowly starting position to climb up to fifth place when the race was initially red flagged. However, while he was in the midst of the battle for a podium on the restart, Rolfo low-sided off after misjudging a passing manoeuvre on Tom Sykes, a fall that also collected Leon Haslam.

Ending his and the Althea Honda team's hopes of a much needed strong result, Rolfo is determined to put that right at Vallelunga this weekend, not least because it acts as a home race for him.

”I'm preparing for the Vallelunga competition because I want to reach the results that unfortunately I missed in Donington,” Rolfo, who has a best result of just tenth this season, said. “I like the Vallelunga circuit and I'm excited to race in front of my fans. I'm really motivated and ready for this home race, where I hope to reach good results for my team and for my sponsors.”
