Noriyuki Haga consolidated his pole position for today's two World Superbike races at Magny-Cours as he claimed the fastest time in morning warm-up.

The Japanese rider has won most of this weekend's sessions, although his closest challenger would come in the shape of Carlos Checa this time, the Honda man showing well before he takes up his fourth place starting position.

Champion-elect Troy Bayliss was third quickest, with Yukio Kagayama a surprise fourth for Suzuki. Bayliss' Ducati team-mate Michel Fabrizio rounded out the big five, while Roberto Rolfo retained his consistent top ten form in sixth.
