If rumours at the Malaysian Grand Prix are to be believed, World Superbike champion Colin Edwards looks increasingly likely to sign for the Aprilia MotoGP team to pilot the presently uncompetitive RS Cube next year.

The Castrol Honda star appeared on his way to Ducati, but his title victory at Imola looks to have boosted his long held Grand Prix dreams...

If rumours at the Malaysian Grand Prix are to be believed, World Superbike champion Colin Edwards looks increasingly likely to sign for the Aprilia MotoGP team to pilot the presently uncompetitive RS Cube next year.

The Castrol Honda star appeared on his way to Ducati, but his title victory at Imola looks to have boosted his long held Grand Prix dreams – and while Honda could accommodate him within one of their multitude of teams, the Texan may have taken a much more radical decision and joined the Noale based team that currently fields Regis Laconi on the wild 3 cylinder Cosworth tuned 'Cube'.

The only comment to the rumours on Edwards' official website are the words “They (the rumours of an Aprilia ride) are definitely getting warmer...”
