World Superbikes » Edwards: Honda sacked me - now want me back.

Tuesday, 15th October 2002

With the news that his MotoGP options for 2003 are now between Aprilia and Honda, Colin Edwards has finally broke his silence over his strained relations with HRC and revealed what really upset him so much…

…and it turns out that Honda originally told him he didn't have a job for next year – sending him straight into the arms of Ducati for WSBK and a signed letter of intent, which Honda then wanted to break.

"So does that make the Aprilia look that much better to those of you who want me to stay on Honda..?" asked the double WSBK champ. "All I'm waiting for is a phone call from Michelin to guarantee me the best stuff for next year."

Vote for who/where you think Edwards should ride next year on the Crash.Net poll.
