Italian terrestrial channel LA7 has acquired the exclusive rights to broadcast the Superbike World Championship in Italy for the next three years.

The broadcast deal between FGSport, international rights holders of the Superbike World Championship, and LA7 will commence on the 28th February in time for the start of the 2004 season at Valencia.

"LA7 has a natural tendency to be led by the passion and spirit of sport, providing importance to the essence of sport; competition, sacrifice and determination. Superbike is an excellent example of this. We are proud and convinced that this collaboration will help to attract young people and the growth of the sport in Italy," declared director of programming Antonio Campo Dall'Orto.

"We are sure that the collaboration with LA7, as we had for many years previously, can guarantee excellent results and provide more enjoyable race action for Superbike fans," added FGSport CEO Paolo Flammini.

Italian viewers will be able to watch in-depth coverage of all twelve world championship rounds of the Superbike and Supersport World Championships on LA7, with additional coverage of Saturday's Superpole session.
