2008 Uses Hannspree links to secure a place within the Hannspree Honda Althea WSBK team.
2007 Despite an unspectacular rookie season, Rolfo is soon seen testing for Ten Kate Honda and subsequently signs (along with sponsor Hannspree) for Honda's leading WSBK team where he rides alongside former world champion James Toseland.
But while Toseland storms to his second world title in 2007, Rolfo fails to reach the podium - his best opportunity to do so ruined when he ran out of fuel at Monza - and he finishes the year eighth in the world championship standings, with a best finish of fourth. Few are surprised when Rolfo loses his Ten Kate seat at the end of the year.
2006 Expected to switch to Tech 3 Yamaha, but is overlooked in favour of James Ellison, then loses d'Antin ride to new line-up of Jose Luis Cardoso and Alex Hofmann. With few other reasonable MotoGP options, he switches to WSBK with the official Ducati satellite team, Ducati SC - Caracchi, which won a race with Lorenzo Lanzi in 2005.
After a promising start to the season Rolfo struggles to challenge the frontrunners, partly due to his non-factory machinery, and finishes just 16th in championship. Best finish of fifth at round two (Phillip Island).
2005 Graduates to MotoGP for the one rider d'Antin Ducati team, riding a year old Desmosedici on Dunlop tyres. Does a solid job with machinery and tyres available. Best finish of 10th at British GP. 18th in world championship.
