A lifeline was thrown to me by GR Asia and I repaid them by scoring two podiums. I followed the team out to the last round of the World Championship in Macau, where I could support them in there bid to win the Teams Independent Championship which they did in style finishing third overall with Tom Coronel. I had a great time out there and got a lot of work done there learning more and more for next year. It was also pretty special to see Andy Priaulx win his third consecutive
FIA Championship, a well deserved achievement.
I have signed with GR Asia for 2007 and I am more motivated than I have ever been. I hope to be able to grow with GR Asia and prove to them that they have made the right decision in selecting me as one of there drivers.
I have been training pretty damn hard with Mark McCabe from Sports Med Ireland since the European Cup, I even did a ten mile jog on Christmas day! I have some great sponsors on board, McNamara Construction being at the forefront of those, and my trusty management of Mick Merrigan and my dad pushing me hard as always.
First stop is Brazil this year, a very fast circuit that can bite as I well know, but also a circuit that I like very much. I am ready to take on the world as they say, at least in Touring Car Terms!
Until 11 March...
Take care,
Em
