N.Technology man looks forward to Oschersleben.

The WTCC starts up again this weekend after a few weeks break and with another podium scored at the last rounds in Sweden, it’s nice to come back to a known circuit on a bit of a high.

We did pretty well at Anderstorp considering the conditions in which we were racing - it rained… a lot! The car was great and finishing third and fifth on a track I’d never been to before is very nice.

Since then I’ve been busy with the non-racing part of my life so I’m really looking forward to meeting up with the team and getting back in the car. N.Technology are a great bunch of guys – and girls! - and although we work extremely hard throughout the weekend, they are always friendly and great people to be around.

We should be strong in Germany this weekend and are definitely in a position to score more points. With an additional 15kgs of ballast, we are now up to 40kgs which may play a part in our performance but Oschersleben is a circuit I know very well and I’m confident we can get some good results.

Along with Valencia and Brands Hatch, Oschersleben is one of the tracks I know best on this year’s calendar and having seen the results in Valencia, I know it’s an advantage! It’s also been a strong circuit in the past for N.Technology Alfa Romeo and despite not testing there earlier this year like the rest of the WTCC teams, we should still do well.

We really want to finish the season in a strong position and with Brands Hatch, Monza and Macau coming up, I think we can do it. I know these three circuits extremely well, especially Brands Hatch, which will help towards strong finishes. On some tracks, other drivers tend to benefit from more experience but once we get to the UK, drivers such as Tarquini, Yvan Muller, Menu and myself have a huge advantage over the others thanks to our BTCC days.

I hope you enjoy the races – until next time,

JT
