Stefano D'Aste was a surprise winner in the Independents category, rocketing from 18th on the grid to avoid the action in front of him and rising as high as fifth place before eventually slipping down the order to finish in tenth place, one place ahead of Roberto Colciago in a privateer SEAT Leon.
