On the Sunday night after the race there was a big WTCC party in a castle in the centre of Curitiba, it was a great night with all the drivers and
FIA officials there to let there hair down a bit, have a few drinks and mix with the local Brazilian people, it was a mega night.
I think the race in Brazil was a big success for the WTCC and everybody seemed to enjoy it, also the racing is becoming very close. For example on Sunday morning free practice I was six tenths of a second of pole but I was in 18th place! It doesn’t get much closer than that, but its fantastic racing and good for the Championship that it’s so close. I only managed to get a few points from the weekend which was a shame and Tom Coronel and Ryan Sharp both had strong weekends, I did move from tenth in the championship to eighth though which is something. And also Andy Priaulx and the RBM team played another very clever game at the top of the championship - so well done to them.
I am due to receive the new car in two races in Brno, and at this stage in the championship I will be happy if I can secure one or two independent wins. On now to Puebla in Mexico, I have heard mixed reports about Mexico but I am not going for a holiday I will be going for a serious catch of points!!
Until then, take care.
