I was also in some quite distinguished company, as the likes of
Nigel Mansell, Mika Hakkinen, Sir
Jackie Stewart,
Damon Hill,
Jenson Button,
Giancarlo Fisichella, Sir
Stirling Moss, Richard Petty, Derek Bell, etc, etc, etc, were there driving machinery. For me, this must be a fan’s dream. They not only get to look at the cars very close up, but they get to see their heroes.
It was also great to have Jo, Sebastian and my mum and dad with me at Goodwood. We all stayed in the motorhome so, between runs, I was able to pop back to play with Sebastian and even have a quick nap. As this is a very social weekend, I saw lots of old mates and we also went to the ball at Goodwood House.
Last week, it was back in the car for testing at Zolder with the RBM boys, where we worked on bedding in parts for Mexico. I have just done the Motor Show press day in London and now I am going to have some relaxing time with the family on Guernsey before heading to Mexico next Wednesday.
This will be my first week of holiday this year and I am really looking forward to it. I shall get the boat out and spend time playing with Sebastian and Daniela so, as you are reading, this I shall most probably be building sand castles...
