Emmet O'Brien insists his focus is still on the World Touring Car Championship Independents' Trophy despite a tough start to his 2007 campaign.

The Irish driver heads into this weekends event in the Czech Republic in fifth place in the standings but should move up to fourth at Brno with Sergio Hernandez having been replaced in the Proteam line-up.

"I had very high expectations of this season following the 2006 European Touring Car Cup where I came second but it hasn't gone to plan and the first four races have been really difficult," the GR Asia man admitted. "We have a few new things coming for the cars and a few new things up our sleeve so hopefully that should point us in the right direction to get the pace that we need.

"Although I'm 32 points behind [points leader] Luca Rangoni I am definitely aiming for the title. I've scored points in all races but two so my consistency is strong; we just need to get the pace sorted."
