The latest rounds of the World Touring Car Championship are set to see one of the biggest grids yet after another two cars were announced for the series' first visit to Anderstorp.
With several Swedish Touring Car Championship competitors committing themselves to the grid, Russian Touring Car Championship front runners Golden Motors will also make their debut with a pair of Honda Accords.
Marking the return of Honda to the WTCC grid, the team currently compete in the RTCC with drivers Alexander Lvov and Andrey Smetsky, both of which will line-up alongside their counterparts for the first time.
A Honda Dealer Team from St. Petersburg, Golden Motors have in the past raced a Honda Civic to victory in the ETC Cup, albeit in the B class, but for 2007 have upgraded to the Championship class, where Lvov is currently leading the RTCC standings.
Not the first team to make the switch from RTCC to WTCC, Golden Motors will be looking to achieve more success than the Russian Bears trio, who have not competed since the Valencia round.
To race at Anderstorp marks a big step forward for our team, we will try to show our expertise and to achieve good results there, said Smetsky.
