Triple World Touring Car Champion Andy Priaulx has been honoured by the Guernsey Post for a second time for his achievements in the WTCC.
The company has taken the wraps off a special set of stamps featuring the three cars Priaulx has driven to success in the WTCC and is the second set to be issued featuring the
BMW driver – with the first set coming after he took a first world crown.
Hugh Jefferies, internationally renowned as one the most highly regarded and authoritative figures in the stamp world, was on hand to see the unveiling at the world famous stamp shop Stanley Gibbons on The Strand.
"I wasn't sure when Guernsey Post asked about issuing a miniature set," Priaulx said. "I thought they were referring to my height, but seriously it's a huge honour to have a second set of stamps issued.
"I'm very lucky to have received motorsport accolades through my career but to have my achievements commemorated in such a public way with the Queen's approval is truly amazing."
The stamps will be issued on 18 January 2008 along with a special First Day Cover and presentation folder.
