Thompson to miss season opener.

N.Technology has announced that it will miss the opening rounds of the World Touring Car Championship at Curitiba.

The team will switch to a new car for the season ahead after ending its relationship with Alfa Romeo towards the end of 2007, with the Italian outfit instead electing to run a single Honda Accord Euro R for the new campaign.

However, the late nature of the deal to run the JAS-Motorsport built machine has forced the team to delay its entry into the 2008 season, with the decision taken to miss the two races in Brazil as a result.

It remains to be seen whether or not the team will contest the second meeting of the season in Mexico in early April or delay its entry to the start of the European leg of the championship, which starts in Spain in May.
