Jose Manuel Perez-Aicart is to make his debut in the World Touring Car Championship in the opening European round of the season in Spain next month.
The 26-year-old Spaniard will compete on home soil in Valencia as a reward for winning the 2007 SEAT Leon Supercopa and will race in a SEAT Leon TFSi run by the SUNRED Engineering.
Perez-Aicart, who will be the fourth driver to compete in the WTCC as a reward for his success in the SEAT series, has already had the chance to drive the Leon after taking part in the test session at Valencia last week and he admitted he was looking forward to racing the car.
"It was the best gift I ever had," he said of the test. "I had the chance to complete 45 laps and I discovered that the car is fantastic, especially in the suspension.
"Everything has been perfect in the test and I hope to have fun in the races as much as I can."
