Motorsport » Lucky Q1 escape for spinning Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton was one of the first drivers to fall foul of atrocious conditions in Q1, but he was lucky to escape to resume qualifying another day.

I fort it was over for Hamilton till he started reversing lol what a lap by nico he was on it were Hamilton was bit to cautious . If its dry 2morrow my bets are on Hamilton qualifying in 3rd --5th Hamilton looks super fast when he came out on the super softs in free practice two he was a thousand of a second up on vettels best time till he went off in turn 9 would of been very close ..

I agree with you westy nico defo knows how to drive the car in the wet hamilton needs more practice on the merc.
I think these two are going to make the best driver pairing
on the grid

Practice was a bit of let down after waking up especially curse the convict rain !!

All those that went off with some being luckier than others were using the same piece of tarmac as all the others did, the rain/water didn't came just before the past that spot.

Sky TV showed a close up of the track, where it seemed two "traffic" lines have been painted black.

At least two cars slid on these.

Surely it would'ent be that difficult to create a grippy surface on these?

Hang on, so let me get this right.

Hamilton, the greatest driver in the history of F1, backed his car into the wall and managed to only finish Q1 in 12th position.

Rosberg, the latest victim of Hamilton fans who predict that he'll get smashed by Hamilton, TOTALLY DESTROYS Hamilton on track today and finishes the session in P1.

Did I get that right?

Bob.
Your so full of hatred.
How do you link that spill to this thread.
This is about Lewis being fortunate.
Hoping Nico and Lewis both qualify and finish well.
In fact I'm hoping for TOP 4 Mercedes finish.
Come on the Silver Cars.
