the way Ross sounded like on the radio, it seems they were holding him back because they shorted Lewis on fuel and strategy and they were making it up to him, Lewis was able to take the lead back every time after the hairpin, but instead of having them fight and to make up for the bad strategy for Lewis Ross called Nico off. Probably not the right call in hindsight, but I have a feeling they will make it up to Nico before the year's up.

Lewis doesnt seem to be the kind of guy who forgets these kinds of things, and I am sure as long as the team stays cool and the situation is rectified all will be well in the Mercedes camp. I suspect if Lewis gets in front of the Red Bulls Nico might have a shot at a win if Lewis is given another 'aggressive' strategy.

One got the impression that Hamilton burnt up his tyres and fuel to only just get ahead of Rosberg at Rosbergs last pit stop, but with shot tyres and no fuel. This isn't the same situation as Webber and Vettel who had both made pitstops close together.
