I dont know if its high time people sat down and discusses seriously if this race should finally be banned. We all know these wonderful guys put their life on the line but is it getting to the point they are now signing their own death warrant(s)? If readers can pardon the pun sorry...Its far too many deaths and that one should once again have happened before the event has hardly even got under way is too tragic for words. Sincere condolences to Yoshinari family and friends.

Agree with pp916, what would pulling out of the event achieve. No rider would ever expect his team to do that, there are plenty of other ways they can show respect for him. Also banning the TT is not the way to go, people say things like this when someone is killed in other types of motor sport. All the riders and drivers know exactly what they are doing once they cross the start line whether it's in practice or the real thing.
Majority of them just live to race and their family's support them wholeheartedly.

here we go again,(it is very tragic when a competitor gets killed ) but at the end of the day it's the riders own decision to compete nobody forces them to do it and they race knowing the possible consequences of one small error in judgement.Motor sport is dangerous period, but there are lots of other persutes that are also dangerous but no one calls for a ban on those when a death occurs. We are all free to persue whatever our interests maybe and nobody has the right to pronounce judgement or dictate what another person can or cannot do (as a hobby or career ) providing it's not illegal

I would like to offer sincere condolences to Yoshi's family, friends and team at this very sad and upsetting time he will be missed by competitors and spectators alike

Pull out of the event? This isn't the first time TAS have lost a rider, anyone remember a certain bloke called David Jefferies who lost his life in practice week(10 years ago tomorrow as a matter of fact)? The team were gutted but at the insistence of the Jefferies family they participated and Davids teammate Adrian Archibald took a Formula 1 and Senior double.
