How about you just give us a tyre that 1) doesn't fall to pieces when on the limit and 2) isn't going to get changed mid-way through the season and wreck the campaign of those teams who were mindful enough to take the tyres into consideration when designing their car.

Pirelli needs to get the FIA to overrule the teams and change the two compound per race folly. This and Pirelli's own ambition to be seem as the maker of exciting races have brought all the problems on Pirelli's head. The solution is one reliable and safe tire. Test tires by FIA imposed orders during the remaining Fridays this season using all the teams. This is fair and gives all teams an equal opportunity to contribute data and opinions about the tires. It's time for Pirelli to compromise and do the logical and sane thing for the good of the sport and themselves.

With the different characteristics of the new 1.6 Turbo cars particularly with a larger Kers system and possibly less engine braking, is this not likely to cause another issue with the tyres not matching the chassis forces for the 2014 spec cars?
