Oh come on, let him start at the back. He will be top 5 halfway and 2nd on the last lap. Would be very entertaining to watch. Please give him 2 extra penalty points. He is not really guilty but I want something to come out of bed for sunday morning.

If he is penalised it will open up a really massive can of worms!! Where will it end? How will they monitor contact? This has been blown up out of all proportion if you ask me because of the 2 riders involved. If this had been any others, then all this carry on just wouldn't have happened. Did anyone watch B.S.B. on Sunday ?? That is what you call racing, not the pathetic excuse for it that MotoGP is becoming!

You know one of the scariest starts I ever had in nearly 150 of them was when we had a mixed class grid at Cadwell. I had qualified well, and was on a bike with about 60% of the power of a number of bikes behind me. The lights went out and all these 1000cc bikes carved me up. Scary as hell.

Whilst he has massively more skill than any of those guys, the thought of him carving through a field of slower riders off the start......jeez.......How ironic it would be to provide him with a penalty that gives him huge scope for first corner carnage. Pray it doen't happen.

A 2-point penalty would mean he starts from the back of the grid, BUT, does it also mean he loses the 25 points he got for the win ?
Factual answers, please, not wants and wishes and predictions.

Back of grid start = DANGER!
Time penalty is useless if he finishes (time penalty) + x seconds in front of next guy.
Hence, if a punishment is required, make it a half points penalty for the forthcoming round.
Remember, the incident in question is 'cumulative nearly misses' not the contact last time round.
It's OK to get close when attempting a pass, or if you're consistently close like Haga used to ride, but Marc seems to (almost) lose control sometimes and finds himself having to think about making avoiding action or making an unexpected move. I think he'll be told to calm down, and if he makes contact in future whilst not attempting a pass it's then when he'll get penalised.
In Industry, if there's a 'near miss' it gets investigated, usually with no consequence other than to create preventative action. Then if someone doesn't 'miss', they get walloped!!!

He's relaxed because he's a Spanish midget on the best bike with the most power. Hardly a level playing field. He could start back of the filed every week and still be on the podium. Give Espargaro, Rossi, Redding the same bike and the same starting weight and lets see who wins.

God this is so stupid. No penalty. The article even says that the initial brush was nothing to talk about.

So STOP TALKING ABOUT IT and get to racing!

Honda's placement of the TC wire is what caused the crash, not Marc.

Dani is unlucky, but he walked away from that crash unharmed minus some bruises.

Let it go. No drama inducing penalties. That is retarded. This isn't a reality tv show for women. It's racing.
