MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship – Brands Hatch round one

The wait is finally over as Brands Hatch hosts the opening round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship this Easter weekend (6-9 April) as Britain's Tommy Hill prepares to defend his title for Swan Yamaha after winning at the Kent circuit in sensational style last October.

The championship sees an international field of world class riders who have their sights on snatching the coveted number one plate including 'Samurai of Slide' Noriyuki Haga, who will make his much-anticipated debut on the second Swan Yamaha.

The Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki team will be looking to make their mark as they return to the championship from the world stage as former double champion Shane 'Shakey' Byrne targets a hat trick of title wins and is joined by Stuart Easton who has made a miraculous return from injury.

Grand Prix race winner Anthony West joins the fray with the Italian Supersonic Racing team but home heroes such as Michael Laverty plus Australian Josh Brookes all have their sights set on the title after missing out last season.

The Easter event will also be the first time you can see the new Ducati Panigale race as Moto Rapido and Jentin Doodson Motorsport debut the exotic new Superbike. And you won't miss any of the action on the Indy circuit!

Advance adult tickets for raceday cost from £25 online in advance with children aged 12 and under free. For more information and to book visit www.brandshatch.co.uk or call 0843 453 9000.
