Ah, I thank you Alonso; I was wondering where the next diva of F1 would appear from, now that M Schumacher has exited stage left.

What a jumped up ars$-wipe of a premadonna he is... never rated him much...good driver but not much better than anyone else in the same car...

Regardless of everyones personal (mostly negative) opinion of Alonso, this time when he opened his mouth he was right - (a) Kimi deserves the championship; and (b) if LH 'wins' it via an appeal, it's not the 'right' way to win it.

deanocoops: how about a Hamilton/Button pairing :-o Wouldn't that (like it's ever going to happen :-( ) be something to tune into on a Sunday for? :-) Back to reality, I'd like to see someone like Kubica in the other seat...but Mercedes would probably prefer a German driver...now who's not under contract at the moment...Ralf! Oh dear with that thought, I need a lie down...

Going against popular thinking, I think Kimi in some respects 'deserves' the title (ignoring he drives for Ferrari :-) ) since he's pretty much done what everyone says LH & FA should do: that is he's kept his mouth shut, not embarrassed himself or his team, and driven well. Regardless of the winner on Sunday, here's hoping Brazil is an exciting end to a strange season!

It's a shame; he (Wurz) will be destined to be one of the great - and very talented - test drivers (along with Badoer, Gene, et al) who are reportedly the best but find it oh-so-difficult making the transition from test driver to race driver.

Had we not witnessed the recent Mclaren fine and points stripping, I think we'd have maybe seen a different outcome?

Nice one Flav! (only because he agrees with me that Alonso/Kimi wouldn't work as teammates :o) ) In all of this, Alonso seems to be the one that will be left on the sidelines (at least for 2008)...let's face it where could he really go - to a top flight team - where the No. 1 driver status is clear cut? It wouldn't work at Williams either, where Frank sort of plays the same as Ron. Toyota, Honda? Who in their right mind would move there! Me thinks he'll bide his time at McLaren until the Renault seat frees up.

Quote: "I really think that many of the things that have been said about the spying and about me are totally wrong and not the truth." With that said, and if was the 'truth' would that not anger him enough to *want* to state the truth, given the seriousness of the accusations against him? I get the feeling that he just doesn't want to lose face (admitting he used a threat of 'blackmail' as the press are calling it) here, but in doing that is seemingly making himself look guilty/foolish. It's kind of the stance Schumaker took when he 'parked' his car in Monaco where denying the obvious looked foolish.
