F1 » Whitmarsh: 'Experiment' adjustable rear wing safe – and worth a go

This is an overcomplicated system they are introducing, but I can't help but agree with the sentiment. In IRL/Champcar races on ovals we see the lead changing twice a lap, once on the front straight and once on the back, all down to the aero giving the person in the draft an advantage over the guy in front. The entertainment comes from the gamesmanship of trying to be in front as they cross the line each time (extra point for leading most laps) and of course on the last lap. Isn't this what F1 is trying to recreate? If it means nobody ever tries to overtake into, out of, or through bends anymore then I'm not in favour, but if it doesn't then why not give it a try?
