F1 » BBC names 5 live line-up for F1 2011


I quite agree with Jimmy, the few times I've listened to the 5 Live commentery it's been excellent, so much better than Legard, but I do like Brundle. Problem is I just don't seem to have the time to sit and watch a race live, so I usually find myself watching it later or at best delayed half an hour or more and having to fast forward through some of the quieter bits. If they can manage to get a Sky+ to record all the red button stuff at the same time I'd be sorted!

F1 » BBC confirms new F1 commentary team


Of all the ex-driver commentators who could pull it off as lead commentator then Brundle is probably the one. Time will tell whether DC is a decent enough co-commentator though. I'd have preferred MB and Ben Edwards myself, though when on Eurosport, Ben's adulation for John Watson when on screen was nauseating.

BTCC » Collins targets full-time BTCC drive


Watched him a couple of times in British GT with Neil Cunningham IIRC, and he was doing a pretty good job, so certainly the LMS would suit him. BTCC is a different matter so only time will tell, if he gets a drive that is. How many people here already knew he was Stig (as well as all the other occassional Stigs) long before he 'came out'? No suprise to many of us I'm sure, so why the animosity?
