Great ride from Casey, 46 just wasn't fast enough round here.
Best bits about this race:
- The rain yesterday, that was pretty exciting
- Eurosport showed it LIVE
Honestly. The best thing Dorna could do (to save costs too) would be to ditch the 800's and pull out the old 990's from 2006. Ban rider aids.
How sweet would that be

Laguna Seca - Race results.
12 agree.
How mental was that. So much fun when Rossi can make a race of it...shame Stoner fell, would have been an amazing finish

Laguna Seca - Warm-up times.
Not worried about Tech 3 yet - JT said yesterday they only had 2 of their softer race tyres to use - one of which he used in yesterdays qualy session to get the setup right before qualifiyers....so in this mornings warm up all they had was a worn softer tyre, or the rock hard other ones. I imagine it's the same with Edwards. Hope Marco can come through a bit. Ant West's not having a good time :-(

How much could Stoner win by?
Hey Aloof. Most people here are fans of racing rather than just fanboys (although there are a select few). I think the reason why so many like Rossi are people who watched him in 2004, which is still my fav season of racing ever. Races are usually close and exciting with Rossi at the front, which adds to it all. Long as the racing is close, that's all that really matters. Gotta admire Stoner at the moment though - top stuff.

Trulli goes fourth with Hockenheim charge.
Trullia has always been fantastic in qually, it's in the races that sometimes he goes off the boil and slips back.... He did a great job in Magny, lets see here. Nice to see Toy-boat-a finally showing a tiny bit of potential.

Toseland 'pins it' for fifth, Edwards shaken.

Hoping both of these guys do well. Tech 3 has gotta be my fav team this year. Great duo of riders, and Herve is a character too. Gd luck

Dani Pedrosa out of US Grand Prix.

Sucks, but a good decision. With the Mich's all doing rubbish he'd be lucky to get a point in his condition, and it's just not worth it when you're this injured. Most annoying because he was part of the big battle before, now he'll be just outside of it and getting between Rossi and Stoner....if he goes on a Stoner-style rampage, maybe he can close it back up again

Still think that Hayden will be limited by his tyres if it doesn't get hot tomorrow. I honestly can't see Casey losing this one no matter what the temperature/weather/whatever, he's just on fire and riding brilliantly. If it is hotter, we'll see a great fight for 2nd onwards, otherwise I'll just be hoping we have some good fights to watch. The Bstone riders trying to get past Hayden and JT might be fun to watch
Oh and my bet? He'll be 12 seconds ahead at one point and back off to finish 7 ahead
EDIT post race: Oh man was I waaaay off!

Dovizioso, JiR, Scot and Honda.

It''ll happen somehow. I expect to see in 2009: Repsol Honda - Ped and Dovi Ducati - Stoner and Hayden Better for all I think

Stoner claims US GP pole.
Interesting Grumpy. I don't have a high def package so can't check it out, but yea. I really hope Belinder Rogerson reads this and explains somewhere how we're supposed to tune in for qually and the 125s/250s (preferably with a page on the BBC website for all to see.) I find the red button stuff painfully slow and pretty confusing. If MotoGP is on there, it's tucked away right at the back :-(

On an unrelated note - does ANYBODY know how to get the poxy red button BBC qualy coverage to work? I wasted 10 minutes of my life during qualy trying to access it in prep for next year. No joy. Treasuring the last few races on Eurosport.
