F1 » Montoya: NASCAR harder than 'boring' F1.

Nascar is an interesting phenomena. The racing is very close, the yellow flag rules allow midpack cars back into the race and keep things mixed up nicely. One interesting note on Nascar's competitiveness given to me by Mark Martin at a Ford Function a number of years ago. I was talking to him about comparing the Trans-Am car to the Winston Cup car and he told me something interesting. He said that Trans-Am was "real" racing, very difficult and challenging. Winston Cup was easy and anyone could do it, but that's what makes is so bloody difficult as you're always trying to pass someone, someone's trying to pass you and this goes on for 3 hours!
