MotoGP » MotoGP Race Director talks Rossi, Marquez incident

bri t:
WOT48: Rossi wins it fair and square. As for MM making an aggressive move, he's a real racer like VR, same kind of move Rossi had made many times in his career. Rossi would have made the same move like MM if the position is reverse. When you have two titans clashes, sparks fly. A Lorenzo or Pedrosa would have happily taken second, That's why I love these two guys.
Agree in general but I'd like to know (and never will) just HOW far Rossi was ahead of this curve. aka did Vale have this planned as an option? Certainly did increase his gap over MM hugely.
He said as much in his interview, he was expecting Marc to try and overtake there, and if they touched then he would get away with running straight on at the corner.

MotoGP » ‘Over the limit’ Marquez talks Mugello misery

It's time Honda did something to help Marc, he's their double MotoGP world champion, does that not mean anything to them. He's doing his very best to ride a bike that is unrideable for him. If they don't do something he'll end up getting hurt and I'm sure they don't want that. Maybe he should accept he can't win on that bike, then you never know what might happen. But he's a racer and all racers want to win.

MotoGP » Pedrosa: ‘I cannot continue racing this way’

It's a shame if he can't continue because of arm pump. There are loads of riders in the BSB paddock who have had the operation and it's worked fine. He obviously didn't see the right doctor in the first place if another operation might make it worse. All you lot suggesting Stoner to take the ride, don't hold your breath because I don't believe he'll come back to MotoGP. The Suzuka 8hr is totally different - just one race and no pressure. Best of luck Dani I hope you can get it sorted out. Another thing, do any of you really understand what arm pump is? The muscles swell up with effort of holding onto the handle bars, but the muscle sheath is not elastic enough to stretch to accommodate the muscle, and so the blood supply gets very restricted causing the hands to go dead. The operation is to cut the muscle sheath to allow more room and to aid the blood supply to get through.
