The question is: Can Toseland - in a satellite team - run with the fastest guys consistently ? Only a truly outstanding racer could do that, and I am not sure Toseland can be described as outstanding. There are just to many guys on factory machines for JT to be top 5. If he could be top Satellite racer come seasons end then that would be fantastic for him.

Are we ever going to see any actual quotes from VR on this ? 'Reports' in various tabloid Mediterranean bike mags are not exactly reliable. I think it also says something about the lack of excitement with motogp that this story is causing any interest at all.

Nick: Outstanding means just that, standing out from the rest. Could you say that in motogp - that is what we are talking about here - JT stands out ? WSBK is different and he proved himself there. He has it all to do again and unless he gets official support I doubt he'll succeed.
