There seems to be a total absence of logic in Max's proposal. I know I wont have enough room here to really express myself, but here goes. I live in the land of One Make Racing from the highest level of racing to the lowest. The IRL is Formula Honda, NASCAR is Formula Saloon Car, Grand Am racing is Formula Roller Skate! The lower levels (FBMW, IPS and Formula Atlantic)are all single chassis/motor/tire combinations which is where it should be. The highest form of development and technology MUST NOT be bastardized into another spec racing series! That is not what Formula ONE is supposed to be! The ALMS and Le Mans may be the only High Tech racing left!

Huh!?! The IRL has become the, "premier open-wheel series in the US." It's bloody Formula Honda! There is no technical innovation! The Dallara is an OLD racing car! "Premier open-wheel series in the US!" And NASCAR is the premier Touring Car series in the US. They are both over hyped vanilla Ice Cream! At least Formula One and the ALMS and Le Mans Series feature cars that are different and like it or not, technologically cutting edge! Jeepers! The IRL doesn't even use fuel made in the US! The Ethanol comes from Brazil! Gimme a Break!

One would hope that Anderson and Windsor had done their homework before saying anything. Although there are many goofballs out there who believe that all they have to do is say that they are F1 drivers (Scott Speed for example), and they will be World Champions before the Sun goes down, it aint that easy! Both Ken Anderson and Peter Windsor have been around long enough to know what has to be done. Gil Bouffard

My Gawd! I am totally surprised that the great businessman didn't have a "Pre Nupt," in place years ago. Ah well, life in the big city!

The only thing that I can see that GK left out of his letter is that tthe racing circuits of the Mid/Far East (with the exception of Suzuka, Fuji and Singapore) ore) are all ANTISEPTIC Hermann Tilke billiard tables offering no challenge to the racing teams or drivers! Gil

Whether John Surtees is "totally unassuming," or not is not the question! I know that John has done a lot for England and its place in the world of motor sport and it is for this that he should be honored. I am one of the lucky ones who has been around this business since the late fifties. I have been around John, Jackie Stewart, Jack Brabham and Stirling Moss. I never use their title unless I am introducing them to a stranger. Only idiots and Americans would start their conversations with "Sir!" I have a bigger problem with referring to retired Grand Prix racers as "Former!" GB

Um! Your tagline reads "Former BTCC David Leslie racer to be remembered at Silverstone memorial event, with fans invited to attend." I hope you meant. "Former Btcc Racer David Leslie..." Gil Bouffard

Damn that Durex Sponsorship anyway! A couple of years ago at Laguna Seca, I had a conversation with some of John''s supporters and they kept reminding me that there were two basic problems. 1. The aforementioned Durex deal and 2. a lack of monetary contributions to Number Ten! This is just so much Crappola!

This is a Set Up! In the first place who the bloody hell tipped the video guy that Max was going to be there? And who's business is it anyway?! In this trash (News?) obsessed world where the antics of self destructive bimbo's and wannabe's make "headlines," it is just another example of bloody CRAP! And you wonder why a public persona buys protection from idiots such as these. If those of you who don't have anything else to do, need this... Go jump in the lake! Remember, I live in America, Land of the Free. Hone of the Paranoid! This is dumb!
