Just no. Totally Gutted.

Eurosports commentating team is one of the best on TV, and their full days coverage of all three races, and some, destroys what the BBC do.

******* Dorna. MotoGP is slowly but surely going the way of F1. There must an equivalent of Bernie Ecclestone in there somewhere... I give it 5 - 7 years maximum before it been totally ruined by the money hungry people in charge.

As much as you can moan about Fabrizio and Tardozi(spelling?) not helping Haga, Spies had no help from anyone (Sykes been off the pace all season) and still went out there got the job done. At the end of the day you can analyse the results from every race and how that would effect the championship, but none of it matters now. Spies is Champ 09 and did it coming back from a 90 point deficit. @Poison. I'd love to see a brit rider win a championship, but I don't think Haslam or Byrne could have taken it to Spies this year. Who knows.

Also proves that you shouldn't write a rider of becuase of where he comes from. Loads of people said Spies wouldn't do anything because AMA was a rubbish series with no real competition. If you are good, your good, it wasn't Spies fault the other teams and rider couldn't keep up.

@nori "the fact remains Nori went into this round with 5 more "points" of pressure than need be and that is ultimately what told and made the difference" Maybe, maybe not. We will never know. What we do know is that the ultimate difference was him binning it in race 1. But Spies was just as deserving as Haga, even more so in some way as it was his rookie season.

What an achievement for Spies. He has had a stunning season by anyones standard, but for a rookie, new to most of the circuits quite outstanding. I think he will do well in MotoGP. He will need to get himself a factory ride to challenge for wins regularly, but he has every chance of impressing on the Tech 3 and getting that works ride. Well Done Spies.

Wasn't totally surprised to see Haga go down, I knew Spies would handle the pressure better, has looked relaxed and stomped his authority on the race in qual and race 1. Can't say Speis doesn't deserve it though. i knew he would challenge for the title but didn't expect such domination, most wins and most poles and he had never raced on most of the tracks before. If he wasn't going to MotoGP I think he would have huge success in WSB. Wonder if Haga thinks he made the right decision moving away from the Yam. Anyway bring on race 2.

Back to Haga of old when the pressure is on? He has binned it so many times in similar situations.

"Looking at the other F1 venues, particularly the newer ones it is no wonder that BE wants the GP moved to somewhere else." Bollocks. All these new tracks may have great facilities but the actual ribbon of tarmac are tedious and boring. I don't really care if the drivers have crystal bogs to take a dump in, I want good and exciting racing on interesting tracks and generally speaking the old tracks do a superior job of this than the new ones.

Interesting. But Spies is often a little down the order in first practice.
