Just no. Totally Gutted.

Eurosports commentating team is one of the best on TV, and their full days coverage of all three races, and some, destroys what the BBC do.

******* Dorna. MotoGP is slowly but surely going the way of F1. There must an equivalent of Bernie Ecclestone in there somewhere... I give it 5 - 7 years maximum before it been totally ruined by the money hungry people in charge.

@john Hmmm, thats right because McLaren do not have the record for the most successful season with 15 out of 16 race wins, leading all but 27 laps of the WHOLE season in 1988 They also have not won 8 constructors and 12 driver championships. Stop being a 'tard. Every team has it's off years.

Unbelievable This is the shot in the arm F1 really needs at the moment, the first major mix up on the grid for years and a brand new team who was all but dead 1 month ago takes the front of the grid. If the rear diffuser is deemed illegal after the FIA giving it the all clear, it would be a disaster for F1 and really take the shine of the beginning of the season. Obviously neither Ferrari or McLaren were sandbagging, as I personally didn't think they were. It's great to see some new teams at the front and one old team return to the front. Bring on the race, can't wait to see how these cars perform when racing.

Bit of a disaster for McLaren, the car just seems to lack any kind of grip.

See, fully registered user. I'm a bit of a Hamilton fan. And certainly not a bandwagon jumper. If I was I wouldn't have been a DC fan for the last 15 or so years! :D

@baja I would be careful going to MotoGP if I was Spies. WSBK is more entertaining to watch than I think MotoGP will be this year. Has closer racing and is in a healtherier position. I wouldn'y accept anything less than a factory ride if I was Spies, otherwise I'd say in WSBK I think it's unfait to call WSBK MotoGP rejects. Both require very diferenty styles of racing. Both Checa and Biaggi could be fast in MotoGP, especailly Biagi and neither have set the world alight in WSBK. I would LOVE to see Rossi do a season MotoGP to see how fast he would be there. Would be great to see.

Agreed he just bided his time during the first half of the race. He began to look a little impatient at some points, but he waited for oppertunities and grabbed them. I think the podium is who will be fighting for the championship. Unfortuantly I don't think Aprillia will quite have the conisistency in the first season to allow Biaggi to fight all the way.

5th at the end of the first lap to a two second win. All those that said Spies couldn't race must be feeling a little silly now. Spies has made me a fan Can't really argue the Yam is fatest down the straight either, he only managed to pass down the straight with some clever double drafting. Excellent race for Aprillia as well. Spies and Apirilla are definitly the storys of the season so far. I thought they would be good, but nowhere near this quick out of the box. Especially spies, new bike, new tyres, new track. Pole and Race 1 win. Nothing but impressive. But watch out for Ducati trying to enter a 1400cc Duc in 2010. Excellent season so far, MotoGP have a hard act to follow

Bloody hell. This is just TESTING people and means little to anyone but each individual team. None of us know what each teams test programs are and what they are testing on any given day. No amount of "expert" arm chair analysis from the likes of Jason will make things any clearer. It will take 3 or 4 races before we get a clear indication of who has the speed.

@Fabio "F1 cars have an allure" But does it? For stockcar drivers NASCAR is the pinacle of motorsport. The aim for NASCAR, not F1. Im sure he would love to give it ago, but it speaks volumes that he wants to win a NASCAR title first. How many WTCC, GP2 drivers would say that? F1 doesn't hold the allure for stockcar drivers as it does here.

@Nori "FooAtari - How can you say he was nowhere in qualifying ? He was top 10 for most of SP2 on race rubber" So? Sorry, but what he did in SP2 doesn't count for anything if you don't make it through to the last session. Nothing. Anyway as other have mentioned other riders had bad Qual sessions and got through to the front fairly quickly. He and Sterelgarda are in a better position that many riders that finished ahead of them. I just don't rate Byrne as a world class rider who can mix it with the best all season long, and what happened this weekend is pretty much what I epected. As for the new qualifying format being stupid. Well I tend to agree, BUT, it's the same for everyone.
