Great result from both Leon and the new Stiggy WSBK team.
Leon can't afford to slip up, there is a crowd of Crash forum posters ready and waiting with the knives sharpened! Ok he may not come across that great in interviews but he's hardly as odious as say a John Kocinski. Maybe they can't forgive him for having a famous Dad?
Good luck to the lad, his results in the last half of 2008 and his start to this years campaign will hopefully continue.

It was bad enough when the independent bike builders dropped out, now its the non-factory teams. I miss seeing different machinery on the grid (KR, Ilmor ,WCM etc) Remember what a buzz it was when the Britten smoking the factory WSBK teams at Daytona and the IOM in the early 90's?

Hells bells! Glad they are both ok after that. Do WSBK bikes have launch control as per MotoGP? With everybody getting good starts the first corner can get very crowded

It would be nice to see the Ilmor effort back on the grid too

I have to agree with Raw Dawg, who would want to be a Brit rider? A lot of the British public seem to take real glee from placing their stars on pedestals just so they can hurl all sorts of ***** at them when they show the first signs of being merely human. For more evidence of this “tall poppy syndrome” just look at the British dailies. I feel sorry for Bradley and James Toseland as they could end up as pariahs too.

Hi there. It's nice to see some mature comments on the forum (Brendan, N.Tasker et al), which are more indicative of the type of patter you actually get from fans at events. It makes a refreshing change from the usual "my GP hero is better than your GP hero" tripe that I imagine is more an internet phenomenon. Great to see Elias having a good result again. Great on-bike style.

Off Topic sorry: Can anyone explain the wisdom of Repsol Honda having Nicky Hayden's bikes sitting in the pits all weekend not turning a wheel? Why not let Tady Okada have a hoon round on Sunday? I think he's there to test Monday

What are Dovi's plans for next year? Can we read anything in the Nakano decision to indicate about a possible switch to a non- Honda team in 2009 for Andrea? What's the goss?

Deepest sympathies to Craig's family and friends. Craig was always a pleasure to watch racing. Condolences also to Andrew Pitt, who must be feeling pretty rough.
