ducati went to bridgestone in 2004 because they knew that they could never compete with rossi on michelins because michelin always gave rossi the best tires. they did this despite having quite an excellent first season in motogp on michelins... the rules should be: . any manufacturer is allowed to supply tires in the sport . any team can SWITCH tire brands mid season (truth is they won't 'cause it'll be way too expensive, but the option should be there). . tire manufacturers must bring all tires to track by thursday . ALL TEAMS HAVE ACCESS TO THE SAME TIRES that way you have competition in tire manufacturing, no whining from pilots, kr can develop bikes, and we have good racing again...
