MOTOGP » Lorenzo: I didn't expect to win

@Codger "MotoGP needs a shake up." Totally agree, there's a pattern emerging, where the race gets hyped up, then sadly disappoints. I'm not sure what they could do about it though - a sort of KERS boost for the straights? (I'm serious by the way). For the first time in years I'm more excited about F1, and actually fast forwarding Motogp races - and that's only going to get worse when VR leaves, its only him and MM i care about. The whole show needs a shake-up, commentators/coverage/format - its just got too 'samey'.

MOTOGP » Bautista: I was being held up

I'm actually an Alvaro fan, and I'm on his side! Firstly, the comment is clearly a barbed one aimed at Rossi... he just wants to make Rossi come off worse. But actually, AB has a point, he was really fast in practice (faster than Rossi and Marquez) and could well have been on the podium on Sunday. He was slightly unlucky to go down, but he would probably have beaten Vale over race distance and he knew that.

MOTOGP » 'Proud' Smith revels in top-six feat

Good ride by Bradley, improving all the time and basically doing exactly as he and the team said he should. Most importantly, he's looking more at home on the bike, so would be good to see him keep chipping away and start running with Bradl/Dovi/Hayden more consistently. I do wish the eurosport guys would stop b*mming him all the time though, hes doing ok but they certainly over do it.

MOTOGP » Valentino Rossi remains highest paid MotoGP rider

I agree shuggie, I've been a Motogp fan since ~1996 - and hence have 'grown up' with Rossi being the main draw, like A LOT of motogp fans my age. Though I appreciate other riders, and am a fan of the sport in general, I tune in primarily to see how VR gets on. Motogp without Rossi will be worse off, Marquez could be a saving grace, but if it was just JL/DP at the front I think I'd be content with reading the result in the paper on a monday - they just don't hold any emotion for me at all.

F1 » Kate Walker: The dark cloud

Obviously safety is really important, and it's only right the FIA invest a lot in improving the safety of everyone involved. But really... a 6 MONTH investigation into the accident?! What can there possibly be to discuss for 6 months?? Clearly some over-paid health and safety experts make a living out of these unecessarily long investigations - I'd love to know why it takes so long...
