MotoGP » Valentino Rossi: 'Dangerous' Galbusera bet paid off

It is far too early to say.... Vale was just as competitive in Qatar last year, I feel these message boards will have a very different tone after Texas and Argentina, where lets be honest, Vale will struggle to get a podium. Jerez will be the acid test for me - if he beats Jorge, fair enough, the change was positive, but its definately way too early to speculate about that.

MotoGP » Marquez begins title defence with victory in Qatar

Great race and it was fantastic (as always) to see Vale battling at the front. However... I hate to be a realist, but Qatar was Vale's best race last year, and we don't know how Jorge would have done this year if he'd stayed on - good result, but in the end the race result was pretty much the same as 2013 - except Marc beat Vale, so don't get too carried away! Marc could win all 19 races this year...!

MotoGP » Rossi revels in old school MotoGP thrills

Don't know if this is interesting or not, but each of Marc, Vale and Pedro were pretty much exactly the same distance apart as last year, although 93 and 46 swapped places. The race was actually around 5 seconds quicker than 2013 too, which is impressive considering the 1 litre less fuel, the crashes and the battling. Rossi fans... I'm one of you, but please don't get too excited about VR's 2014 season just yet, so far he has matched 2013, nothing more ( meaning he hasn't improved on his first race with Yamaha after a year on the bike). The next two races will be a bit of a reality check I think, really hope I'm wrong though.

MotoGP » Hayden: Redding’s got a lot of quality

This is embarrassing for Nicky, why do people insist on defending him no matter what? How many times has he beaten his team mate over his whole motogp career? 05 and 06... probably not since then - he's a nice guy and all, but the results are far from impressive, should have gone to WSBK. He cannot afford to let Redding beat him over the season, but I have a feeling Scott will only improve and leave Nicky for dust.

Re: BT Sport - I too thought Keith Huewen was a tad aggressive, very strange - maybe trying to assert himself in the new job I don't know. I wasn't a fan of Ryder towards the end of last year, and he seems to be wheeling out the same old lines/phrases as the last few years. On the plus side, JT and GE were good, and Neil Hodgson will be a good addition. I also liked Huewen's criticism of some of the Brits, makes a change from Toby and Jules' constant praise. Just a bit underwhelmed with the Ryder and Huewen duo. Hope it improves :)
